Our second episode was on October 13, 2020, just before Halloween, which made it a perfect time to talk about Tim Burton! There are, of course, lots of Tim Burton movies, so we focused on two of our favorites: Beetlejuice and The Nightmare Before Christmas.
This episode's craft was painted pumpkins. We used artificial pumpkins for this project, so we can reuse the finished item year after year. Both of us found them on sale at Michaels, but you can find them at most big box craft stores, or online. Our other supplies included acrylic paint in assorted colors (including some awesome glow-in-the-dark paint that DB found!) and paint brushes.
Danie painted Jack Skellington on an orange pumpkin and Lydia from the animated Beetlejuice on a white pumpkin, while DB painted a stripey Beetlejuice-inspired pumpkin and an Oogie Boogie with the glow-in-the dark paint.
